No astrology model has demonstrated 100% or near-100% prediction of personal events. Dharma Sky will not manufacture that claim from famous anecdotes or retrospective fitting.

A model chosen after seeing an event can fit the past by chance, selective memory, or flexible rules. A valid comparison locks the rule and forecast first, defines the outcome, includes misses and abstentions, and compares against a baseline on untouched cases.
What the published tests say
A 1985 double-blind natal-chart study, a large date-of-birth/personality study, a 2,101-person time-twin analysis, and a Swedish register analysis of more than 65,000 marriages did not establish the tested claims. The scope of each test matters; none tests every possible astrological tradition.
How Dharma Sky can improve
Locked forecasts, predefined outcomes, Brier and log scores for genuine probabilities, calibration, negative-result publication, and versioned rule cards. Until a model beats an appropriate baseline on held-out prospective data, it remains unvalidated.

Tradition is not science

How one chart is calculated

- Tradition settingsSidereal charts apply the chosen ayanāṁśa. Houses use the selected system and birthplace.
- Rule-generated readingNamed chart factors are mapped to traditional themes. No language model or hidden human edits the result.
Sources, licenses, and current limitations
The browser calculation engine is @swisseph/browser, an AGPL-licensed WebAssembly wrapper around Swiss Ephemeris. The bundled world place index is derived from GeoNames cities15000 under CC BY 4.0. Place populations and administrative names can be incomplete or outdated. Read data attribution.
The built-in Moshier ephemeris supports a wide historical range and is highly precise for major planets, but professional or research work should reproduce the calculation independently. Historical timezone law, uncertain birth times, polar house calculations, and lineage-specific daśā conventions can materially change results.
This release is English-first and its public-question research overrepresents India-focused, English-language sources. Worldwide prevalence claims require consented first-party research. Read the AGPL license or download the corresponding source.
